1 — Agreement and company
These terms apply to the Lainstack website and to any Lainstack service purchased through online checkout. A signed order form or other written customer agreement applies instead to the extent it conflicts with these terms.
The website and service are operated by Lainstack Ltd, company number 17243799, registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. The service is offered for business use. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind that organisation to these terms.
2 — Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for your authorised users, account credentials, and activity under your account. You must not use the website or service to:
- break the law or infringe another person's rights;
- gain unauthorised access to data, accounts, systems, or networks;
- introduce malicious code or interfere with the service or its security; or
- bypass access, usage, or technical restrictions.
3 — Customer data and connected services
You retain your rights in data submitted to the service. You permit Lainstack to process that data as needed to provide, secure, and support the service. You are responsible for the lawfulness, accuracy, and content of the data and instructions you provide. Our Data Processing Addendum applies where Lainstack processes personal data on your behalf.
If you connect a third-party service, your use of that service is also governed by its provider's terms.
4 — Fees, subscriptions, and refunds
The applicable fees, subscription period, renewal terms, and included usage are shown at checkout or in your order form. Paddle is the merchant of record for online purchases. Its buyer terms also apply to those transactions.
You may cancel a subscription using the billing controls provided for your account. A cancellation prevents future renewal but does not itself create a right to a refund. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and any mandatory rights.
5 — Intellectual property
Lainstack and its licensors retain all rights in the website, service, branding, and related materials. During an active subscription, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the service in accordance with these terms and the applicable order. Software supplied under an open-source licence is governed by that licence.
6 — Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material breach, non-payment, unlawful use, a security risk, or a legal requirement. When access ends, the customer agreement and Data Processing Addendum govern the return or deletion of customer data.
7 — Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the website and service are provided as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. You are responsible for deciding whether the service and its outputs are suitable for your use.
To the extent permitted by law, Lainstack Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, or anticipated savings. Our total liability arising from the service will not exceed the fees paid for that service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
8 — Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
